Hello!
Let us first introduce ourselves — we are a close-knit family of three, along with our two cats. We live in North Carolina, and are lucky to be surrounded by a wonderful community of family and friends.
We’ve have been together for 13 years and married for 6. [The intended father] has a master’s degree in electrical engineering and has spent over 15 years working in the field of power engineering. Outside of work, he is an avid fan of puzzles and games — from board games and video games to crossword puzzles. He also loves to bake bread from scratch and lose himself in a good science fiction novel. He is currently completely hooked on a series called Dungeon Crawler Carl.
[The intended mother] has a master’s degree in public health and social work and works as a clinical research manager for HIV research — a role she finds deeply meaningful. She is a lifelong learner who is always picking up a new skill, and lately she has been exploring crochet, watercolor painting, and gardening. She is also an avid reader, especially of fantasy books.
Then there is our daughter, our spirited four-year-old, who brings boundless energy and joy into everything she does. She loves gymnastics, trips to the park, playing with her friends, and is currently in a full Lion King era — we have seen the movies more times than we can count and we wouldn’t have it any other way. We are a bilingual family — French and English. We both have family in France, and love sharing the French culture with our daughter. She is growing up with two languages and a whole lot of love from family on both sides of the Atlantic.
Rounding out our family are Eli and Cricket, our two cats, who are enthusiastic about snuggles, pets, and treats, and will never turn down any of the three.
As a family, we love to cook together, play board games, read, travel, hike, and camp. We love spending time and having fun together.
We had always imagined having two children. What we had hoped would be a smooth birth turned into an emergency C-section, followed by an emergency hysterectomy and a stay in the ICU. It was a frightening and heartbreaking turn of events, and coming to terms with the fact that we could no longer carry a pregnancy ourselves was one of the hardest things we have ever faced. Surrogacy has given us hope again — a path toward the family we have always dreamed of.
Words cannot fully capture our gratitude for your willingness to consider this journey. It takes someone truly extraordinary to help another family grow. The gift you would be giving us is one we could never repay, and we would carry it with us — and make sure our child knows about it — for the rest of our lives.
We hope that whatever lies ahead, we can build a relationship rooted in openness, trust, and genuine care for one another. We would love to be in frequent contact, to get to know you as a person, and to walk this journey together in whatever way feels right for you.
With so much gratitude,
S & S
More about their journey:
With S & S, the joy and love radiating from their family is truly palpable. Whether it is Sunday morning pancakes, an annual camping trip, or traveling abroad to visit family, they are deeply intentional with their time and commitment to one another.
They approach surrogacy with that same care and tenderness. They hope to build a close and meaningful relationship with their gestational carrier, staying connected through regular communication such as weekly texts, phone calls, or video chats. They would also feel honored to be included in appointments and key milestones along the journey. Open communication and mutual respect are incredibly important to them, and they are equally committed to finding thoughtful ways to support you throughout the pregnancy.
Regarding termination and/or selective reduction, S & S would approach any decision in close consultation with their gestational carrier. They would only consider these options in the event of a fetal condition that is not compatible with life. Above all, they want their surrogate to know that her health and well-being would always be their highest priority in any situation.
