At Village Surrogacy, we believe every surrogate’s circumstances, experience, and goals are unique. That’s why our Carrier-Led Compensation Program allows you to set the base compensation that feels right for your journey. Not sure what’s typical? We’re happy to share current compensation ranges.
The calculator below provides an estimate based on common compensation factors. It is not a required compensation amount or a limit on what you may request.
Surrogacy can create meaningful opportunities for your family, whether that’s paying off debt, buying a car, saving for a home, or simply creating greater financial peace of mind. We offer this program because we understand that every surrogate’s financial goals and family needs are different, and we believe compensation should be as individual as the journey itself.
Additional Information About Our Surrogate Compensation
Pre-Pregnancy Compensation
Before pregnancy begins, you’ll be reimbursed and compensated for your time and commitment with:
- At least $2,500 in stipends for screening clearance, embryo transfer, and non-accountable monthly allowances.
You’ll never pay out of pocket for medical or screening bills, these are fully covered by your Intended Parents and the health insurance plan they provide for you.
Do you already have surrogacy-friendly health insurance? That often means an even higher base pay for you!
Pregnancy Compensation
You’ll receive a $300 Monthly Stipend to cover essentials like:
- Mileage for local appointments.
- Pregnancy-related supplies like prenatal vitamins, lotions, or a pregnancy pillow.
Once you’re pregnant, your base compensation is paid out in monthly installments through an independent escrow agency.
Post-Pregnancy & Additional Compensation
Your total compensation package—your base pay + generous stipends—reflects the incredible gift you’re giving. Depending on your journey, you may be eligible for even more:
- $5,000 for an initial embryo transfer with Intended Parents who have fewer than three embryos available (our Under Three Program).
- $3,000 if a C-section is necessary.
- Lost wages will be reimbursed at their actual rate for pregnancy-related absences.
- Post-delivery self-care stipend for you to treat yourself.
- Up to $4,250 in additional stipends for wellness care throughout the pregnancy for massages, counseling, doulas, etc.
Plus, additional support and coverage for unique circumstances:
- Full bed rest coverage, including lost wages and childcare/housekeeping support.
- Partner support compensation, if they need time off to care for you.
- Childcare, housekeeping, and lost wage reimbursement during post-delivery recovery for a vaginal and C-section delivery.
