Hello!
We are writing this letter with full hearts and deep gratitude for the incredible role you may play in our lives. Even before knowing you, we feel an immense sense of respect and appreciation for your willingness to help another family grow in such a meaningful way!
The journey to becoming parents has not been simple for us, but it has made us even more certain of the love, care, and dedication we are ready to give a child. We started our journey with some fertility issues which after a few outpatient surgeries we were sent to Yale and was officially diagnosed with Asherman’s Syndrome. This is a rare disorder that causes the uterus to grow scar tissue/adhesions. We were then invited to join a clinical study at Yale that would essentially take the stem cells from my own bone marrow and inject in my uterus to prevent more scar tissue from growing. Unfortunately, after completing some pre-requisite tests and labs, my hormone levels did not meet the requirements to participate.
This led us back to our fertility clinic and we decided our best chances were to start IVF! With IVF we were lucky enough with one successful fertilized embryo that passed all the tests! Next we unfortunately found out that my uterus cavity was too small (even with hormone therapy) to carry our embryo safely.
Choosing surrogacy is not a decision we made lightly—it comes with hope and trust that someone extraordinary would be at the center of it all. We hope that someone is you.
We want you to know that, above everything, we see you as a person first not just as a surrogate. We see you as someone with your own life and story. Your kindness and strength in considering this path means more to us than words can fully express and we are committed to treating you with respect and compassion.
If we are fortunate enough to work together, we hope to build a relationship built on trust, open communication, and mutual care. We want you to feel comfortable throughout the entire journey.
The child you would help bring into the world will be surrounded by care and we promise to raise them with kindness, curiosity, and all the love they could possibly receive!
Thank you for considering being part of something so life-changing for us. No matter where this journey leads, we are profoundly grateful for people like you who make families possible.
With sincere appreciation and hope,
D & C
More about their journey:
C comes from a big, close-knit family that still makes it a priority to gather for every holiday and birthday. With several nephews who love board games and swimming in the pool, they’ve had plenty of joyful, hands-on experience and have developed a deep appreciation for how fulfilling family life can be.
They feel incredibly hopeful and excited about the possibility of one day soon having a child of their own to hold and love. As they begin this journey, they are hoping to connect with a warm, kind, and easygoing gestational carrier. While they would truly value a close relationship that allows C to attend appointments and share in parts of the pregnancy experience, what matters most is finding someone compassionate who will care for their baby along the way.
They would love to be present in the delivery room for the birth and would be deeply grateful if you were open to pumping breast milk. When it comes to decisions around termination, C & D have been navigating infertility for four years and are entering this process with immense hope. They feel strongly that they will love their child no matter what, while also wanting to be clear that they would support termination if a situation arose that put your life at risk.
